Terms & Conditions

Below you will find our Terms & Conditions. Once Sweet Adventures has agreed to take a booking from a customer, the customer is entering into a contract with Sweet Adventures.By confirming a booking, you are agreeing to the above terms and conditions. along with our Ticketing Policy. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

  1. Customers are required to adhere to the safety instructions provided by Sweet Adventures at all times. Failure to comply with these instructions is done at your own risk. The final decision and authority regarding safety-related matters rest with the guide.

  2. After booking:

    • You have a 3-day grace period during which you can request to change to another event or cancel your booking. If you decide to cancel within this 3-day period, you will be eligible for a full refund.

    • All cancellations must be made in writing to sweetadventures@mail.co.uk 

    • No cash refunds are given on cancellations after the 3-day grace period.

    • You can cancel or transfer your booking 12 weeks or more before the event and receive a credit note valid for one year for the value paid – minus a 10% admin fee.

    • You may replace the person on your booking up to 72 hours before departure. This must be done by email to sweetadventures@mail.co.uk. This must be on a like for like basis. For example if you have booked a shared female room then your replacement will need to be female.

    • No credit note will be provided if you cancel within 12 weeks of the adventure. To safeguard against unforeseen circumstances, we strongly advise you to obtain cancellation and curtailment insurance.

  3. If, due to safety concerns, Sweet Adventures is compelled to cancel an event prior to the planned date, you shall be eligible for a complete refund or credit for the event fee. Safety concerns may encompass hazardous wind speeds, among other factors. We will make every effort to offer a feasible substitute, although it may not align with your initial intent. We shall not be held accountable for any additional losses incurred, such as accommodation, fuel costs, or meals, due to the event's cancellation. We reiterate our recommendation to obtain cancellation and curtailment insurance.

  4. Sweet Adventures retains the authority to modify walks or events from the details provided on our website. Such changes are primarily influenced by weather conditions or ground conditions. We will strive to maintain the event as closely aligned with the initial booking as feasible, but there may be instances where circumstances are beyond our jurisdiction.

  5. Sweet Adventures retains the authority to disallow participation of customers in an event if they are insufficiently prepared, lack the necessary fitness, or engage in actions that compromise their own safety, the safety of other customers, or the guides. Additionally, we reserve the right to exclude any customer displaying aggressive or offensive behavior. In the event that you decide to leave an event prematurely and both you and the guide mutually agree to this course of action, the guide's responsibility and duty of care towards you will terminate at that point.

  6. Sweet Adventures assumes no liability for any loss or damage to customers' personal belongings occurring during the event. This encompasses property left unattended in the guide's vehicle throughout the duration of the event.

  7. Engaging in adventurous activities carries inherent risks of injury and fatality. It is essential for customers to acknowledge the potential for accidents and injuries. Prior to participating in the event, it is mandatory to review our Risk Disclosure and confirm your acceptance of the risks by completing the medical form provided.

  8. Provisional bookings will be held for a duration of 7 days exclusively. Following this period, Sweet Adventures retains the authority to revise any prior quotation given. It is important to note that a provisional booking should not be construed as constituting a formal contract between the involved parties.

  9. Sweet Adventures assumes responsibility for your well-being and assistance during the event starting from the designated meet point as specified in your event itinerary. However, unless explicitly agreed upon, Sweet Adventures does not bear the responsibility of ensuring your transportation to the event's starting point.

  10. By making a booking, you grant Sweet Adventures permission to utilize any media, such as photographs or video footage, captured of you during the event. This usage may include intellectual property rights that you possess. Sweet Adventures reserves the right to employ these images for promotional and training objectives, encompassing, but not limited to, websites, marketing materials, and media. If you prefer not to have your image utilized, it is imperative to inform Sweet Adventures prior to the event.

  11. Upon completing the booking, you agree to Sweet Adventures retaining your contact details. Rest assured that we will not share this information with any third parties. However, your information, along with that of your emergency contact, will be shared with the relevant Sweet Adventures staff responsible for managing the event. Sweet Adventures may employ your personal information to maintain communication through newsletters and emails if you have given your consent.   12. By confirming a booking, you are agreeing to the above terms and conditions.
