Overview - Find Yourself In Nature!
The Edale Skyline – One of the most challenging yet rewarding walks in the Peaks, starting in Hope. Edale Skyline has to be the ultimate long distance hike in the Peak District, with it’s spectacular views of the hills and ridges of Hope and Edale Valleys. Taking in Kinder Scout, considered by many as the spiritual home of walking, this is the highest point in the Peak District and is synonymous with the Kinder mass organised trespass and the start of the access movement.
In 1932 around 500 walkers, trespassed en masse and walked to Kinder Scout to secure access rights to open country for all to enjoy forever. Follow in their footsteps and enjoy the moorland plateau that others fought so hard for, on this historic walk.
This grand tour of the Peak district also takes in everyone’s favourites including Win Hill, Mam Tor, Back Tor and Lose Hill. A day of great hiking, taking in the spectacular scenery and history of the Peak District, on this beautiful and iconic circular walk. On a clear day, the list of landmarks visible are endless… Winter Hill, the three Yorkshire peaks, The Roaches, Beeston Castle, Snowdon and Tryfan … to name but a just few!
